Note: It's actually RARE someone actually gets seasick on our trips! However, it's still one of the main concerns of sailing.😅And, I get it!!!! As a mom of three, I know that feeling exactly.

ESPECIALLY if you haven’t sailed (or your children haven’t sailed before) it can feel really daunting, and to put potential seasickness on top of it, feels like too much. �
I am here to tell you, it is not something to worry about.

Seriously!! ��The waters we sail in are nothing compared to offshore sailing (that’s where the waves get BIG). 🌊

And, even if one of your children, or even you get seasick, it really is no. big. Deal. There is plenty of space on the yacht to lie down, and we can help you or your kids get through it.

It’s kind of one of those things where it sounds super scary, and then if it happens, it’s totally fine and you wondered why it was so scary in your head when you thought about it.

So…don’t let seasickness hold you back from sailing!!! And follow efcsailing for more family sailing content! ⛵️

This week felt similar to when Jesus asked the fishermen to cast their nets on the other side of the boat, and received so much they couldn’t even pull the net back into the boat!

On Monday, my husband & father in law went crabbing with one of the Captains for The Sailing Academy, as it was her birthday.

They were able to catch an entire bushel!

We have since spent every day for 4 days straight, shucking crabs. So much so, that for the past 2 nights my husband and I have had “date nights shucking crabs” after the boys went to sleep.

What an incredible blessing!

It’s hard work taking apart a crab, pulling out the crab meat, separating piles, and discarding the rest. Yet, it’s so rewarding!

Do you want to experience the joy of crabbing and having a crab feast? That is one special parts of our Chesapeake Bay family trips. You’ll get a chance to try it out, and enjoy the fruit (or meat in this case!) of your labor.

Plus, it’s a lot of fun, especially for kids!

With plenty of space, beautiful sails, and a sturdy helm, this boat is sure to give families an unforgettable experience….just like the Harvey family! 😂

Family huddles have been something that brings joy to everyone daily! Not only do my kids love the team mentality, but it gives us time to go over the day’s schedule, as well as tasks we can accomplish together. 💪
