Congratulations, Hyundai Alabama, for your 5 millionth vehicle!
Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) leadership, team members, and special guests celebrated the five millionth vehicle built at Hyundai’s U.S. assembly plant.
HMMA reached the 5 million mark in less than 17 years, starting production in May 2005.
The five millionth vehicle was a Hyundai Santa Cruz Sport-Adventure Vehicle.
To reach this achievement, HMMA has produced 2,562,880 Sonatas, 1,489,568 Elantras, 908,779 Santa Fes, 36,989 Tucsons, and 1,784 Santa Cruzes!

Despite the fact that spraying to control mosquito populations there began in 1937, you sure wouldn’t know it if you go there, especially at this time of year.
That being said, Mosquito Lagoon is recognized by the EPA's National Estuary Program as an Estuary of National Significance.
It is an acclaimed seatrout and red drum fishery and a popular destination for anglers, kayakers, and wildlife watchers.
It’s incredibly beautiful, but don’t forget your bug spray!

Did you know that today is World Reef Awareness Day?
World Reef Awareness Day gets people thinking about the fragile biological system of our oceans’ coral reefs.
Hyundai Motor has partnered with the ocean conservation organization Healthy Seas who work in the Red Sea, a biodiversity hotspot.
Its extensive reef system is home to some 1500 species of coral and fish with an estimated 20% endemic to the region, meaning they are only found in the Red Sea.
