It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved “Man of the River,” David Bricking Sr.

For more than 53 years, Dave and his wife, Debbie, owned and operated Riverside Marina, the Anchor Inn, and Riverside Gardens in Dayton. Together, they built more than businesses—they created a place where friendships grew, families gathered, and generations made memories along the Ohio River.

Dave was known for his hard work, generous heart, sense of humor, and willingness to help others. He made people feel welcome and gave so much of himself to Riverside and the community.

Above all, Dave loved his family. The love and devotion he shared with Debbie were the foundation of everything they built together.

His legacy will live on through his family, the community he helped create, and every gathering and sunset along the river. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
