Davison Auto Tech Davison High School's Automotive Technology classes teach students the basics of fixing cars. Whether you were in the program years ago with Mr. Johnston or Mr.

Auto I students follow the NATEF Brakes course, while Auto II students follow the Electrical/Electronics course. New starting in 2011-2012, an Advanced Auto course will be available to Seniors who have taken both Auto I and Auto II. Draham, or you are in it now with Mr. Michalik, like the page and post any pictures or memories you may have. :) Thanks to everyone!! Students enrolled in the Auto Technology classes at Davison High School will now have an opportunity to receive training and certification from General Motors. Teacher Mr. Andrew Michalik has taken the appropriate measures in order to qualify his class as a GM STEP School, designed to introduce students to official factory training modules early.

"Recently I was asked if we would be interested in becoming a GM STEP School, I said heck yes," Mr. Michalik said. "It gives our students and auto staff access to GM training and certifications. This will help give our students an edge getting jobs with GM."

Students will be able to earn recognized GM training credits upon the successful completion of individual modules.

" I was a graduate of the GM ASEP program at Ferris State University so I love this program," Michalik said, adding that the GM ASEP program in place at Delta College recommended Davison Schools to become a STEP-approved program.

The DHS Automotive Technology class also offers Ford ACE training. Ford Automotive Career Exploration training, a partnership program between Ford Motor Company, local dealerships and high schools or trade college.

This year, Davison Auto Tech students left the 25/26 school year with 302 ASE Entry Level Certifications!

302!!

That’s an average of over 4 PASSED certifications per student.

Garret Hall, Ryder Chase and Ayden Dear passed all 10 of the Automotive tests.

Christopher Anderson and Eric Simmonds passed all 20 of the Automotive, Medium/Heavy Truck and Collision tests.

Congratulations!
