🏁 RACE DAY UPDATE!! 🏁

Yes, we have seen the weather forecast. Yes, it looks like there is a chance of rain and storms Saturday late afternoon into the evening. But do we know for sure that it will rain? NOPE! 🌧️

So, we are going to make adjustments and do everything we can to give us the best opportunity to get the races in! This is the best plan we could come up with while keeping everyone’s time and effort in mind.

Yes, we did have a 2nd rain date for these races, however, the Burris Fall Nationals were put on top of that rain date so we do not want to use it unless we HAVE to. I have looked at schedule after schedule and we have no other dates that wouldn't fall on top of another points race or money race.

UPDATED SCHEDULE:
⏰ Gates Open: 9:00 AM
🏎️ Practice Starts: 11:00 AM
📝 Registration Closes: 10:30 AM

Weather/Race Completion Plan:
✅ If we are only able to complete qualifying, drivers will be awarded points based on qualifying results.

✅ If we are able to start features, a race must reach **1/2 way** in order for drivers to be awarded points for that race.

✅ If a race does not reach the halfway mark, points for that class will revert back to qualifying results.

We know weather decisions are never easy, but we are going to do everything we can to get as much racing in as possible! Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support.

🏁Happy Monday! This weekend is the 4th Points Race of the Season!🏁

⏰ SCHEDULE:
• Gates Open: 11:00 AM
• Registration: 11:15 AM – 1:00 PM
• Pit Pass: $25
• Race Entry Fee: $25

💰 PAYOUT:
All classes will race for 50% Payback, with the remaining 50% going toward the End-of-Year Banquet.

🔧 TECH & SAFETY REMINDERS:
• RACEcievers are REQUIRED in ALL classes, both Adult and Junior.
• Backplates are REQUIRED in ALL classes. (RWYB is the only exception.) No backplate will result in loss of your fastest lap in qualifying.
• Need a backplate? Stop by the parts trailer before racing.
• No kart stands on the concrete period!
• We are a Burris Racing Tire Rule track. All classes must run Burris tires except RWYB.
• All drivers must have the required safety gear listed in the track rules.

👥 SUBSTITUTE DRIVERS:
If you plan to use a substitute driver this weekend, a completed Sub Driver Form must be turned in at registration or emailed to us prior to racing.

🏁 RACE FORMAT:
• Qualifying: Green, Green, White, Checkered
• Qualifying will be done in groups if you miss your group by one group you will have fastest time taken, if you miss it by more you will not qualify and start in the rear for your feature.
• Features: 15 Laps OR 15 Minutes
• A class must complete at least one green flag lap before the 15-minute clock begins.
• Once a class takes the WHITE flag you must have your kart sat down and running. Once a class clears the next class will take the track.

📋 CLASS MINIMUMS:
Classes must maintain a minimum of 4 karts to qualify for an End-of-Year Leather Jacket. The only exception is Blue Plate Champ. Some classes will be dropped this weekend, however, most look to be good to go!

Please review the 4th photo attached to this post for the official class list. These are the ONLY classes being run in the 2026 Points Series.

🧃 JuiceBox Division:
The JuiceBox Division is ALWAYS FREE to enter!
This class is included in our points series, and all participants are recognized at the End-of-Year Banquet.

⚠️ BARCODE / TRANSPONDER INFORMATION:
You MUST bring a picture of your barcode to registration.
• No barcode? They are available for $5 at registration.
• Your barcode serves as your transponder.
• It will last until you change bodies or accidentally power wash it off. 🚿

IMPORTANT:
If your barcode is properly placed and fails to scan during qualifying, you will receive a re-qualify attempt at the end of qualifying.
If you fail to obtain a barcode or place it incorrectly, you will start at the BACK of the field for feature races.
Please refer to the attached photos for proper placement instructions.

🚗 PARKING INFORMATION:
Please watch for the FREE PARKING signs.
If you did NOT purchase yearly parking from Sarah, you must park beyond the Free Parking signs.
If you are UNSURE what your parking spot number is ask at the gate or message Sarah. Parking IS painted.
If you park in a reserved spot, you will be asked to move, even if you've already unloaded.

"Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:" Job 5:10

This is the last update we wanted to have to make.

Unfortunately, with the amount of rain we've already received at the track, combined with the additional rainfall expected over the next several days (it's already raining here now), we've made the difficult decision that we simply cannot, in good faith, ask everyone to travel to the track this weekend only to sit and watch it rain.

We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate everyone's understanding. We always want to race when we can, but we also want to respect your time, travel, and hard-earned money. Thank you all for your continued support, and we'll be looking forward to seeing everyone at the next race.

Sadly, the Godspeed Raceway family has lost one of our own.

Darlene faithfully worked in our concession stand each week until her illness. She was a valued part of our family, and her kindness and dedication will be deeply missed. Her son, Richard, also works the concession stand, and we ask that you keep him and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We pray that the Lord surrounds Darlene's family with His peace, comfort, and strength. May His promises bring hope to their hearts and remind them that He is always near to those who grieve.

Please join us in lifting Richard and his family in prayer as they navigate the days ahead.
