In honor of International Women’s Day, a message from one of our owners: the woman behind Crossroads Auto Body:
We are all familiar with the adage, “Who runs the world? Girls.”, but do you know who drives the cars? Women. Who buys the cars? Women. Who runs the auto industry? Men. There are over 1.4 million more women drivers than men. Women buy 62% of all new cars in the U.S. and influence more than 85% of all car purchases. Unfortunately women only account for 27% of the auto industry workforce.
Despite that last alarming fact, for the last nine years I’ve made it my personal mission to empower female clients in anything auto related, not just the repair process. I’ve had to prove myself to a lot of male counterparts and hear the phrase “no offense” one too many times. Yet I am so fortunate to have such phenomenal business partners, clients and most importantly family who support and encourage me each day. My wish this International Women’s Day is continue to continue to uplift, inspire and empower each other, creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout our community.
Here’s to celebrating the incredible achievements, resilience and strength of women today and every day. Wishing every woman the courage to challenge norms, break barriers, shatter stereotypes, defy expectations, carve her path to success and most importantly embrace her unique identity.
