The fun summer time fishing has been full of surprises and good times. The Sum Fun had their big jigs in the water this week and connected with a nice striped marlin. With the exotic species like the marlin and even wahoo in our local waters we're excited to see what the new week ahead has to offer!

Today is the second to the last trip of the 2026 season for Fish For Life - Fish For Life we've had an awesome year so far come down and clap and cheer for the kids as they walk down the red carpet Fun starts at 8:30! We take kids fishing and it is truly the best day ever!

Mixed bag has been the name of the game on the kelps for our offshore action! Dorado, yellowfin and skipjack have been the primary players but it seems like things keep getting more and more interesting as the season rolls on!

We have offshore extended 3/4 day trips running Monday and Wednesday. Limited load -

MON - Sum Fun 25 anglers 5:30am-3:30pm

WED- Dana Pride - 40 anglers 5:30-3:30pm

The local yellowfin tuna fishing has been very fun and we've had some great opportunities just about every day!

To make sure you have the best chances WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND the following:

- A rod and reel combination capable of fishing 15-25lb monofilament line. Yes, a suitable spinning rod and reel would be ok. Small low profile reels like a Lexa or Tranx would be perfect.

- small J hooks size 2 and size 4. Don't be cheap. Bring a box of each.

- If you want to use a small fluorocarbon leader to give you some abrasion resistance we'd give you a high 5 for that.

- The ability to tie on your own hook in the event the crew is tied up helping other anglers, gaffing fish or on the bait tank chumming. FACT- Self sufficient anglers in a high paced bite catch more fish.

- have a back up rod and reel in the event something malfunctions and you need it. The crew can't stop during a bite to put new fishing line on your reel.

We've seen all of these scenarios play out over the last few weeks. Coming prepared is the ONLY way.
