We’re going through a rough week this week. I personally apologize if we missed getting your vehicle in for an appointment time. I’ve been working late trying to get things moving along. We’re trying our best. Some days that’s not enough but don’t give up on us. We love you all.

I’m closing the shop today. I will be there working but I will not be answering calls or taking in work. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.

We have received several requests for quotes for brake jobs recently. I’ve been met with a couple of people saying they would continue their search for cheaper, which I do always encourage shopping around and getting quotes from reputable shops or even mobile mechanics. On average we charge between $350-$375 per axle to change your pads and rotors (no, we do not want to just pad slap your brake job).

But let me give a little story why, again, cheaper does not equal better. Someone reached out for a quote. They ended up going with an individual that was recommended by a friend. The vehicle was equipped with an electronic parking brake, some can be accessed through the infotainment system, some require a scanner. This individual did not know the proper process and ended up pushing the pistons out of the caliper and had brake fluid leaking, leading to a damaged caliper and leading to increased cost to the customer. The customer then reached out to us to see if we could fix the issue but we were not in town. Thankfully they were able to get it repaired but this is why even something as simple as a brake job needs to be done by someone that knows what they are doing. Sometimes taking the cheaper route can cost you more in the long run. We have seen this mistake happen more than once. Even if you don’t use Fix It Up, please use a reputable shop or mechanic.
