While rebuilding a 1976 Triumph TR6 differential, our Project Manager took a moment to demonstrate the proper use of an analogue inch-pound torque wrench to measure pinion bearing preload, just as specified in the factory manual.

These skills are learned through experience, patience, and good mentorship. Sharing that knowledge helps ensure the next generation can continue the tradition of restoring and maintaining classic motorcars.

At Kip Motor Company, we believe the future of the hobby depends on sharing knowledge with the next generation.

We're proud of our relationship with McPherson College and the opportunity to help students gain real-world restoration experience. Here, one of our interns is working on the suspension of a 1945 Singer Roadster, learning skills that will help preserve these historic vehicles for years to come.

Some jobs require a careful second look — like rebuilding the rear differential on a 1976 Triumph TR6 — while others call for a little heat and fabrication to keep the project moving forward.

Today was one of those days that is difficult to put into words. The owner of this 1955 Morgan +4 entrusted the KMC team with delivering a car that was not only mechanically restored, but safe, reliable, and fun to drive once again.

This Morgan carries decades of memories — road trips, family drives, and time spent with his father behind the wheel. Being trusted with preserving that connection and helping return those memories to the road is something we do not take lightly.

We are incredibly touched and grateful to have completed the mechanical restoration of this beautiful 1955 Morgan +4 and return it to its long-time owner. Moments like these remind us that these cars are far more than machines — they are part of family history.

While a major part of our company focuses on British and European cars, every so often an American classic rolls through the shop doors as well. Our team is currently working on the water pump for a 1949 Cadillac Series 62, while another project includes cleanup work on a 1967 Pontiac GTO. Across the shop, we are rebuilding the carburetor for a 1961 MG A.

No matter the badge or country of origin, we enjoy keeping these vintage machines on the road.

We are thrilled to host interns from the McPherson College Auto Restoration Program here at Kip Motor Company. From day one, they jumped right in — bringing their skills, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

The future of the restoration trade is certainly in good hands, and we are proud to play a small part in their journey.

While sorting a fuel issue on a 1949 MG TC, our senior technician discovered that one of the plugs on the intake manifold had worked itself loose. That may well have been the culprit, though carburettor adjustments are still on the list of items to be sorted as we continue the diagnosis.

As with many classic British motorcars, sometimes the smallest detail can cause the greatest amount of mischief.

A proper thank you is in order.

To our brilliant Kip Motor Company team—what a showing. From the days (and let’s be honest, weeks) leading up to the All British & European Car Show, to the very last bit of tear down, you lot truly carried the day.

From hauling signage about, organizing the grounds, guiding traffic with calm precision, setting everything up, and packing it all away again—you put in the hours without fuss and with plenty of good humor. It does not go unnoticed.

And then, to see you all at the end—handing out ribbons, sharing a well-earned moment together—rather sums up what makes this team so special.

We are immensely grateful for each of you. The show simply wouldn’t happen without your effort, dedication, and spirit.

Cheers to a job very well done.

Delighted to share that one of our clients took home People’s Choice – 1st in Class at the VTR South Texas Regional in Marble Falls.

Our team had the pleasure of sourcing the proper bits and reconditioning others, ensuring this vintage beauty was once again fit for the road—and clearly, the show field as well.

Have a look through the link below for more photos from the event and a fine gathering of rather lovely Triumphs.
