After decades of service to our community, the final chapter has been written. The last thing to be removed was the portrait of David T. Gray, whose vision and dedication built more than just a business, it built a legacy.

We are grateful to every customer, employee, and supporter who walked through our doors.

It’s with full hearts and deep gratitude that we share this news: Gulf Coast Firestone will officially close its doors on April 30, 2025.

This shop was more than just a business. It was the dream of our beloved David T. Gray — a dream he poured his heart and soul into. When David tragically passed away in 2021, we made a promise to honor his legacy by continuing what he built. For the past few years, Anjanette, David Jr., and Katie have kept that promise — carrying on the values he held dear: honesty, quality work, and treating every customer like family.

We've been incredibly blessed to serve the D'Iberville community. From the many local awards to the loyal customers who supported us like family — every bit of it has meant the world to us. You’ve helped us keep David’s dream alive, and for that, we are forever thankful.

Now, it’s time for our family to turn the page. As we step away to focus on each other and the adventures ahead, we do so knowing that David would be proud. Proud of what he started, proud of what we carried on, and proud of the community that embraced us.

Thank you to our dedicated staff over the years, who have gone above and beyond for our family. Thank you to our lead mechanic Justin for sticking with us and being the best in the business all these years.

🚗 Gulf Coast Firestone Update – Tentatively Opening at 1 PM Wednesday, January 22, 2025! 🚗

As long as the weather allows our crew to travel safely, we will be opening around 1 PM on Wednesday. Please stay tuned for any updates, and remember - your safety and our crew's safety comes first!

🚘 • Start your engine gently in freezing weather, let it warm up for a few minutes before driving.
• If your vehicle is not starting, turn off all lights and accessories, close the doors, and turn and hold the ignition for only up to 10 seconds. Wait 1-2 minutes before trying again.

🔋 • Check your battery. Cold weather can drain its power.
• Newer vehicles have complex electrical systems that can be very sensitive to improper jump starting procedures; always consult your car manual for specific instructions and if unsure, consider calling roadside assistance or call us here at Gulf Coast Firestone when you suspect your battery is dead.

We expect to resume normal business hours on Thursday, weather permitting.
