Four JE forging styles. Four different load paths. Which one matches your power goals?

Full Round — Maximum skirt rigidity and broad bearing area for high side‑load and elevated cylinder pressure. The strongest for most cases.
FSR — Narrow skirts + shorter pin bosses for reduced friction and rotating weight. Lightest, yet least rigid forging option for most.
FSR‑Internal — Internal ribbing stiffens the crown and pin bosses for high‑pressure, high‑RPM durability. Good middle ground between FSR and Full Round.
FSR‑External — External reinforcement boosts lateral skirt stiffness without the added mass of a full‑round design. Strong without sacrificing rotating weight.

Don't let the minivan fool you. The Instigator is back... and it's looking to pick a fight. 😈

Nick Rutledge's 1989 Dodge Caravan is anything but your average minivan. Powered by a 2.5L turbo four-cylinder, this sleeper has already laid down 600 RWHP, ripped off a 10.66-second pass at nearly 130 MPH, and done it all on over 35 PSI of boost.

Now it's time for the next chapter.

This fresh combination is built around a set of custom JE Pistons that bump compression from 8.5:1 to 10:1, with the goal of turning the boost up to 40 PSI and chasing a 9-second quarter-mile timeslip.

These custom pistons were engineered for the abuse with:

Mindset isn't built on perfect weekends, it's a result of facing challenges.
Even though they had to make the tough call to swap engines preventatively and miss qualifying, Ricky Silva and CLM Motorsports Inc. ran back-to-back 7-second passes, their first time entering the 7s in competition.
We're proud to be a part of their program and excited to see them back out on the track. 🚦
