EVENT OF INTEREST: ECS Tuning Enthusiasts Showdown
Second Annual Car Showdown - June 14th

Event Details
ECS Tuning is hosting a two-day European car enthusiasts’ event, the weekend of June 13-14, 2025. Saturday features a European-only car show at ECS Tuning headquarters along with many vendors.

CAR SHOW
Get your show details when you register your car for $24.99. Just want to spectate? Just show up, as that’s FREE. Northern Ohio Chapter will have a contact station at the daytime Saturday, June 14, event. Stop by and chat with members. Show cars can arrive at 8 a.m. and must be in place by 9:30 a.m. Judging will finish at 1 p.m. with awards at 2 p.m.

CRUISE
In addition, ECS has partnered with The Foundry Social & High Voltage Karting to present the official Enthusiast Showdown Sunset Social, their official after-party at The Foundry Social in Medina. A cruise will take the party from ECS HQ to Foundry Social (333 Foundry Street, Medina, OH 44256), or you can head there directly! The drive will commence at 3 p.m. and arrive before the social starts at 4 p.m.

SHOWDOWN SUNSET SOCIAL
Expect laid-back vibes, a live DJ spinning into the night, great food, and one last chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you’re winding down from the track or just rolling in to catch the atmosphere, this is the place to be. This family-friendly hangout is focused on community, not chaos from 4-8 PM.

Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum, Western Reserve Historical Society
Meet up with Chapter members for this special docent-led tour of the current Mustang exhibit at the Western Reserve Historical Society’s Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum.

The Crawford’s Wild Horses: Sixty Years of Ford’s Mustang exhibit will bring at least two body styles from each period of Mustang development to the upper gallery.

The Chapter is hosting one member and that member’s guest to this event, as space is limited. You MUST register by noon on Thursday, 13 March 2025; no late reservations can be accepted. Where should I park, and how will I pay my fee?

Park in the museum’s adjacent lot located off Magnolia Drive and visiting Chapter members will pay a discounted parking rate of $8 per vehicle. Stop inside near the exit before leaving and present your parking ticket.

Enter the building through the Reinberger entrance adjacent to the Parking Lot located off Magnolia Drive.

Wayfinding signage and staff will assist visitors in navigating their experience.

Go Karting

If you're considering advancing to the ranks of BMW Club Racing or want to be exposed to new concepts and on-track experiences, then this event is for you. Our next school lined up for the northeast part of the country this fall is Sept. 18-19; you don’t want to miss it.

The school is open to drivers experienced with high performance driving on the track. Instructors and signed-off advanced students of the BMW Club high performance driver education program as well as participants with equivalent experience from other recognized organizations are welcome.

Unlike the large variety of professional race schools, the BimmerWorld BMW CCA Club Racing School offers the opportunity to drive your own car. Any car suitable for use in a BMW CCA HPDE event can be used. Participants do not need a race prepared car, and all manufacturers/models of cars are welcome; (you don’t need a BMW). Accordingly, this Racing School experience is less expensive and more relevant to your actual driving situation.

A race school consists of four classroom sessions and four track sessions each day. The classroom curriculum covers the fundamentals of closed circuit, door-to-door performance driving, competitive passing techniques, driver/race car preparation, and knowledge of BMW CCA Club racing rules.

On the track you’ll experience corner passing, driving three-wide at speed, green-flag practice starts, and a full simulated race exercise all under the watchful eye of the BMW CCA Club Racing Instructors. After each on-track session, the instructors and students review what transpired on the track. There will be no instructors in the student cars. Instructors participate on track in their own cars observing your behavior and skill and participating in the discussions in the class.
