🥵 It is HOT out here, friends! The river is a good place to be though! 💦

If you're heading out on the river with us this week, do yourself a favor and pack extra ice-cold water — hydration is just as important as your paddle and your PFD. A personal water bottle (frozen overnight = a little slice of heaven by hour two) makes all the difference out there. Stay cool, stay hydrated, and we'll see you on the Cuyahoga! 💧💦

Last night we walked into the Friends of the Crooked River River Rat Revelry annual meeting at the stunning Himelright Lodge at Cascade Valley Metro Park — and the vibes from a room full of Cuyahoga River-loving people are just something special. 🛶🌊
The evening was packed with updates that matter: Ohio EPA's Bill Zawiski spoke on water quality and the navigation channel, Ryan Ainger from Cuyahoga Valley National Park shared news on the Cuyahoga River Water Trail, and there was real momentum shared around watershed projects — including progress on the removal of the Gorge Dam.
This is the community doing the work behind the scenes so the rest of us get to paddle a healthier river. Grateful to be in that room. 💙💚
