Anyone running a 235 front on a JZX100 without cutting? Tell me what I’m missing.

Fun wrench party at the shop today! 🔧

Tom Boyd rolled his 1HZ turbo diesel 80 in for a set of YODATEQ gullwings. Rare truck, good owner, easy yes.
He’s supported what I’m building since the beginning — good to finally get his truck on the lift.

First time in the advanced group. Got sent straight into a chasing & leading all day and I was too locked in to remember my camera existed 😅

Supra caliper swap on the JZX100 Chaser 🔧🇯🇵

A couple tips if you’re doing this yourself:

→ Use a brass punch to push out the OEM adapters — that’s where the brackets bolt to the caliper

→ New brake adapters need to face outward — dab a little silicone oil on them and press in

→ You’ll need to trim the dust shields to clear the bigger Supra calipers & rotors. I like keeping the OEM shields since they direct air onto the rotors — worth modifying instead of ditching

Bigger brakes on the same platform, one of the best upgrades for this chassis. Save this for your next brake job.

Bleeding the hydro handbrake was supposed to be easy. Instead, it’s mostly me saying “oh sh*t.”

This weekend’s mission: refresh the front hub assemblies on the .

✔️ New OEM bearings
✔️ New seals
✔️ Fresh paint
✔️ ARP extended studs

It’s not the flashiest upgrade, but these are the details that make a 25-year-old chassis feel new again. Now we wait for the next round of parts coming from Japan. Supra brakes & suspension goodies is next 🥳
