Maine Street Auto is celebrating 5 years in business today, May 25, 2025! As we reflect on all the uncertainty that came with starting a new business a few weeks before a global pandemic shut the world down, we can’t help but feel overwhelming gratitude to be here today. To our incredible team, Alex, Bruce & Tyler - you guys are second to none and we are so grateful for you. Every. Single. Day.

Vehicle Registration Changes for the New Year!

How & When to use Registration Credits
➡️When you trade/sell a vehicle you may use the Excise tax and Registration fees already paid toward a new registration or the re-registration of another vehicle. All parties named on the registration of the trade/sold vehicle must be present at time of transfer any available credits. Please call prior to visiting our office with questions or verification. 207-829-5559 x1

Rapid Renewal Excise Information
➡️If you are having issues with your Rapid Renewal, please contact us with your registration in hand, so that we may update the online system. This should allow you to re-register immediately.

Antique Auto Registrations
➡️Effective January 1, 2025, the definition of Antique Auto has been updated to an automobile or truck manufactured in or after model Year 1916 that is more than 35 years old. This effects only NEW Antique registrations.
