They stopped mowing the grass, replaced it with wildflowers, and nature came rushing back. 🌸🐝

In Rotherham, England, the town replaced about 8 miles of roadside grass with wildflowers, turning ordinary road verges into colorful strips of life.

The move saved around $25,000 a year in maintenance costs, while bringing back bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators.

Locals began calling it a “river of flowers,” and the idea quickly became a model for how communities can save money while helping nature recover.
