An Excavator is by far the most superior Tool for removing trees fast. Mulching has its place, but having done both, I probably wouldn’t use a mulcher to clear a lot again. When the excavator is done, the whole tree is gone, roots and all. With a mulcher, you still have a stump to deal with.
