The mold Mobile Mechanic & Diagnostics Hi, I’m Joshua DeCarlo, owner and lead tech of The Mold — your trusted mobile mechanic service. I stand by my work, and I treat every vehicle like it’s my own.

With over a decade of hands-on experience, I bring professional-quality automotive diagnostics and repair work directly to your location, saving you the time, Meet the Owner: Joshua DeCarlo
I’m Joshua DeCarlo, owner and lead technician of our mobile mechanic service. I’ve been working on cars since 2012, and what started as a passion quickly became a full-time profession. Over the years, I’ve built deep experience working on all makes and models—from daily drivers to high-end classics, including a full rebuild of a 1937 Rolls-Royce 25/30. In 2021, I launched my own business to offer something the industry often lacks: skilled, honest, and convenient service brought directly to the customer. Today, I run a fully mobile operation covering all of Rhode Island and Massachusetts, equipped to handle everything from electrical diagnostics and ECU programming to full restorations and custom wire harness installs. My goal is simple: provide dealership-quality work without the dealership hassle.

History
Our business was founded in 2021 with the goal of providing reliable, professional, and convenient mobile mechanic services across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. But the journey started long before that.

I began working on cars in 2012, gaining hands-on experience with everything from classic restorations—like a 1937 Rolls-Royce—to modern vehicles. Over the years, I built the skills, tools, and reputation needed to go independent. In 2021, I turned that experience into a fully mobile operation, offering everything from basic repairs to full engine diagnostics, wiring, and restoration work—right at your doorstep.

Since then, the business has grown through word-of-mouth, repeat customers, and a reputation for getting the job done right the first time. Whether you're stuck on the road or restoring a piece of automotive history, we're ready to help.
