Betty Smith was this years Covington Fourth of July Celebration Grand Marshal.

Due to a health issue she was unable to be in the parade so tonight we brought the parade to her. She is at home recuperating so it was truly an honor to do this for her. She’s done so much for the Covington community. She is 100 years of age and looks absolutely amazing!

Thanks to everyone who participated and to Bob and Mary Elaine Denhart for helping to surprise her ❤️🇺🇸💙

Today! Lineup beginning at 6:30 pm at Steel Grip parking lot.

REMINDER…This Sunday… let’s come together as a community to honor this lady⬇️

Hello Covington Cart Club Friends!

As you may know Betty Smith was chosen as the Parade Grand Marshal for the Covington Fourth of July Parade.

Unfortunately due to health issues she was unable to participate. She is now at home recuperating. Betty lives on Pearl Street across from Fountain Springs.

We are going to surprise her (with the help of her daughter, Mary Elaine) and do a drive by parade for her.

We will meet at 7 pm on Sunday, July 26 at Steel Grip Parking lot. It would be great to have a nice turnout. Betty has done so much for the community. You can make a sign, bring a horn or however you want to get creative.

Since we are still celebrating our country’s (and country’s) birthday we going with patriotic colors-but don’t feel as if you have to decorate or dress in those colors - just showing up will be enough.

Hope to see you at Steel Grip.
We will meet at 6:30-6:45…everyone is welcome even if you don’t have a cart… being a car, ATV, bicycle, etc.

Sue recently purchased her beautiful red cart at Tommy B's Powersports.

She said she absolutely loves having a golf cart and finds herself utilizing it more than her own car.
