Remembering Roger Sperry, Marine veteran and our inside salesman shown here at SHOT SHOW, Las Vegas, 2014 where he came with Mike and I to represent Sadlak Industries. Roger retired from Sadlak Industries last year and with sadness, we were informed that he passed away in his sleep last week.
Roger had a gift for customer service and through his years of work in the fi****ms industry, seemed to know everyone, could point me in the right direction if I needed technical assistance and was always willing to share his knowledge.
Roger was an outdoorsman who loved his fishing and competitive fi****ms competition, especially pistols, his annual trip to Maine's Lobster Festival, a few beers with friends and jokes of any kind.
His loss is mourned and he will be missed by his many friends and co-workers.

Mike hosted our annual M14 Forum/Battle Rifle Forum Pizza party Wednesday night. Of course, they ate so much pizza and drank so much beer they forgot to get any picture! Reports were that everyone had a great time. Next year we're going to put up more signs so that forum members can sign up to attend.

Its been a busy year at our booth in Building 910A on Commercial Row with the Bargain Box having a steady flow of old and new friends.

Every year we try to improve our booth and displays. Even after all these years, we seem to learn something new every time. Sometimes it's minor and other times major. Years ago we went from a table outside to a booth inside. With the July and August heat at the site, inside is a lot better - for us at least.

The booth enables us to stock and display products making them more visible and accessible to everyone.

This year we've also added bright green florescent price labels - not a big thing but something our customers seem to appreciate. As I said, some changes are big, other small.

We try to bring as much of a variety of parts as possible. In addition to our M14/M1A parts, we also manufacture M16/AR15 parts and I think we may have the widest variety of AR15 Gas Blocks of all the vendors. This year we added our New BM59 mount for the Garand to our M15 and AR15 parts.

As with all vendors, getting ready to go, packing what we need and think we might need, and loading the trailer is a big job. The night before we leave is usually an "all-nighter" then we leave about 8am for the long drive from Connecticut to Port Clinton OH. When we arrive and get some sleep, we spend the next day setting up the booth and unloading everything from the trailer. Without fail, something is forgotten so we end up having a UPS Red shipment from the shop.

After all that, it's time for 10 days of fun. Stop in and see us in Building 910A Commercial Row. In addition to having products for sale, we're there to answer questions, help with problems, reconnect with old friends and meet some new ones. Don't hesitate to give us your feedback -we're always looking to improve every aspect of our business and your suggestion might just be the one idea we need to hear.
