Our Demanufacturing Technicians (Dismantlers) are at the very heart of our used and core parts process. Working in their own shop bay, each of our techs removes body parts, engine & drivetrain components; inspects parts; and assists with entering parts into our state-of-the-art inventory management system. Occasionally, our techs will also become involved in diagnosis and repair work. We provide on-site training, support, and back-up to help ensure each of our technicians is as successful as possible! Prior experience with diesel mechanics is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training and formal classroom training by our in-house ASE Certified Trainer is provided. Our technicians get paid while they learn! This position pays a competitive hourly wage + a performance-based bonus (paid with each payroll). Compensation: Hourly compensation with overtime and commission available. Total hourly earnings typically range from $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (including commission) for qualified candidates. Base hourly compensation is dependent upon experience.

Vander Haag’s Inc. has a leadership opportunity in the Parts Sales Department in our Council Bluffs, IA, location. This position will play a key role in managing the day-to-day operations within the department as well implementing strategies for our continued growth in this location.

General duties include:
• Providing day-to-day leadership and supervision of assigned team members.
• Answering phones, assisting customers, providing coaching to assigned Parts Sales team members on an as-needed basis.
• Working closely with other Vander Haag’s locations and Parts Sales team members to resolve parts issues and meet customer needs.
• Leading weekly meetings to review procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Working with vendors for cataloging and training.
• Reviewing sales orders to ensure compliance with company standards.

A minimum of two to four years of prior parts sales experience is required. This position does require the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers. A working knowledge of computers is also required. The ideal candidate should be a results-oriented leader.

Hours: General business hours (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, M-F). Occasional Saturdays will be required on a rotational basis.
