I had an LS swapped k10 come in a few weeks back with an odd issue. After digging into it I realized there were rags shoved into the intake ports not allowing the valves to close, therefore there wasn’t any compression. I removed the rags the customer had placed to keep debris out of the engine prior to installing the intake, and we had compression back! A little more rewiring and plumbing and it was back to the customer for completion.

PSA!!! Change your oil at regular intervals! What was thought to be an ordinary bad o-ring causing irregular oil pressure on a 5.3 in a 2000 Silverado, turned into a sludgey mess and clogged pickup tube! $50 every 5k miles will save you a multi thousand dollar engine in the future!
