Thinking about a coilover suspension setup?

The Datsun Z sits low and still shows off sharp lines. But there's something that most people miss - the factory suspension can actually hold it back.

If you drive an S30, an S130, or a Z31, you've probably seen that the original suspension just feels a bit too soft when you want to have some fun. It can even get rough when the road isn't perfect. And the S30 just looks ready to take off. It's a game of give and take.

Still, to choose the right set, you need to think through your budget, how much you want to modify, and what kind of driving you want it for.

You'll see a bigger change when you use coilovers compared to just swapping in stiffer springs. Some coilover options can also make a weekend upgrade turn into a total headache, so it helps to look at how the Z's design reacts to new parts. You should have what the original setup gets right and the places where it starts to fall behind if you push the car a little harder.

When the road is nice and smooth, the Z's stock springs and dampers do a good job of keeping the drive easy. But once you get started on the corners or put your foot down, you'll feel those old parts start to give way under the extra load.

Hit the link in our bio, and search "COILOVER" in our search tool to get started with what causes that gas smell and what you can do about it!

πŸ“£ Have you snagged your own 240Z horn button pad?!

We get excited every time we ship a new carbon fiber horn button with titanium inlay pad for the 240Z steering wheel.

These have been so fun to bring to the market and share with Datsun enthusiasts.

Customize your wheel with our easy-to-install horn pad and titanium horn button options.

Not just for the 240Z chassis! Though these only fit the 240Z steering wheel, installing a 240Z steering wheel in your 260Z, 280Z, 280ZX, 510, or 620 is a popular option as the 240Z steering wheel is a clean and classic look.

And now, with our carbon fiber horn pad with titanium button options, you can customize your Datsun even more."Datsun" or "Z" engraved titanium inlay is available in four colors: silver and anodized gold, blue or purple.

Our horn pad pops on securely in the same method as the OEM horn pad.

The ASA carbon fiber pad is temperature safe up to 210 degrees (F) as well as UV resistant, chemical resistant and water-safe.

(Steering wheel is not included.)

Does your Z smell like gasoline?

When you smell fuel in your 240Z, 260Z, or 280Z, it usually points to an issue that needs your quick attention before the bigger problems show up.

Your Z car might give off a faint gas smell even with the standard tune-ups - it's frequently a sign of something that's hiding underneath. Owners can miss these warning signs when they assume that their maintenance schedule catches everything or that it's coming in from outside.

Gas smells in your Z car will signal some problems that you need to fix fast.

Leaks can happen anywhere in your fuel system, from the tank to the fuel lines. The rubber hoses that connect the different parts frequently crack as they get older. You might notice that the smell gets stronger when you drive because the fuel flows through the system faster.

Be careful, though; don't ignore these signs - fuel leaks can be very dangerous. Hit the link in our bio, and search "SMELL" in our search tool to get started with what causes that gas smell and what you can do about it!
