First pass at 8HP calibration on the JMP AUTOWERKZ B48 E46. This car is running in Gridlife GLTC and using our Motec M122 package for the B48. The 8HP51 is being managed by a CAN TCU. Couple minor bugs to work out but it seems to shift well with just a little bit of calibration on the motec side. A lot of people have been asking for this and fingers crossed its first track test goes smoothly!

CAD file digital download library is now open!

We have been planning on selling some of our design files from the B46 and other projects for people to be able to use on their personal projects. These files are for ready to go parts that are typically either 3D printed or laser cut.

You can also use them to get specific dimensions for your own part design or modify them for your own needs.

Files come with instructions and accompanying hardware callouts and recommendations for printing. We will be releasing more in the future as we have time to go through and make instructions.

The B48 is making its way into the wider world! Michael Giurintano is working on a very cool B48 and 8HP swap into an NB Miata for race track and TT duty. The E36 time attack car is tuned up and ready for final assembly just in time for at Thunderhill.

Definitely snuck up on the power level on this one and it could use some larger cams to use that boost efficiently but we were able to hit our target of 550whp.
Max power is the relatively easy part though.
The most time was spent tuning around the responsiveness of the turbo since it is a circuit racing car and record lap times are only possible if the driver can control the power delivery accurately. Lots of work on part throttle and transient ignition timing, intake and exhaust cam positions, DI injector timing, wastegate feed forward and PID, torque control overrun settings and antilag to keep the boost up and the throttle responsive without creating excessive heat or making it jumpy and hard to drive.
Couldn’t do it to this level without the advanced control of the M142 and GPRP-DI Pro firmware.
