Saying goodbye at South Carlsbad State Beach 🌅

This one’s for Mavericks, our 1999 Eurovan camper off to begin a brand-new chapter in Texas.

She’s heading east with some truly wonderful people who first found VW bus love through a rental at Vintage Surfari Wagons years ago.

Like so many before them, one trip was all it took… and soon they had their own VW campervan.

That sage green beauty you see here? She’s been their trusty steed for years, logging countless miles, chasing horizons, and collecting a lifetime of memories along the way.

We couldn’t be happier knowing Mavericks will live on, still doing what she was built to do: carry good people to beautiful places 🚐🤍

Today we took our last ride in Nalu Im’i 🩷🧡
(Please excuse the squeaky brake pedal — she hasn’t been driven in a bit.)

Tomorrow we hand her over to someone we’ve known and trusted for years. Chad, a talented photographer and the creative eye behind many of the images that once filled our website.

He lives in Florida and will eventually bring Nalu home, but for now she’ll stay here in California while he’s in and out on business.

We’re happy knowing Nalu will continue her journey under his care — and maybe one day we’ll visit Chad and Nalu in Florida. 🚐🌊🌴⛱️👙

Hale Pua has found her new home 🏠 💛🌺

She’s officially off to San Francisco, where her memory-making wheels will continue to roll and new adventures are just beginning. From sun-soaked coastal drives to the stories she’ll now help create, Hale Pua’s spirit lives on in every mile.

We’re so grateful to have been part of her journey and can’t wait for the memories she’ll inspire next.

We went down to DoHo Café to listen to some live music at the beach, then cruised along the Dana Point day use strip… And there she was—our precious van, our beloved Ala Lani—completely unexpected and absolutely perfect 👌 🌺

Last night we said goodbye to a project that never got its moment… our 1973 Winnebago Brave. She’d been sitting on our lot, waiting patiently for her restoration day to come. Life had other plans, and we never got to bring her back to her former glory… but here’s hoping someone out there will pick up where we left off and transform her into the badass rig she’s destined to be.

Here’s to fresh starts, new hands, and brave new adventures. 🛠️✨🚍

She wasn’t just a bay window bus… she was a story on wheels. 💛 One of our employees sadly crashed her, and while it broke our hearts, we knew she still had one more journey to make.

This sweet girl carried so many travelers through the years… families on their first California road trip, surfers chasing the perfect break, honeymooners writing their first chapter together, solo wanderers finding peace along the coast, and friends who laughed their way from campsite to campsite.

Now she’ll live on in a different way… donating her body panels and parts so another bay window bus can keep cruising. 🌊✨

A little bittersweet, but in true VW spirit… the adventure continues.

🌸 Mother’s Day Magic at Hangar 24 🌸
This Mother’s Day was one for the photo albums! Families gathered under sunny skies at Hangar 24 in Irvine to celebrate the amazing moms in their lives—with a groovy twist. Our vintage VW camper bus stole the show, serving as the perfect retro backdrop for unforgettable family photo ops.

Kids piled in, moms struck their best peace-sign poses, and dads pretended they were back in the ’70s. There were flowers, laughter, and plenty of cheers (and beers 🍻) all around. Nothing says “I love you, Mom” like a heartfelt moment captured in front of a classic VW and a cold drink in hand.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made this a day full of smiles, hugs, and timeless memories. Until next year, peace, love, and kombis! ✌️💐🚌
