Porsche 911 MFI - Mechanical Injection Pump - When MFI cars are not used or sit in storage the pump loves to seize up - either the rack freezes up or pistons get stuck. Porsche recommends filling the pump with fresh oil before putting a car in storage - ATF works even better. Most MFI specialists are booked for a year or more. We have stopped taking on customer work due to poor treatment from rude and non-appreciative customers who do not pay appropriate bills - we have been "velonskisiced" (customers being rude, unprofessional and cheap and not paying their bills after we bail them out) Here is a video to explain the basics of pumps and what to look for: by Dr. Karl
