I have not posted in a while so let’s get into things a little deeper and understand what we are and what we are out to achieve.
We will start with the name Pinnacle Performance.
Pinnacle – The dictionary states that it is the “highest or culminating part”. What that means to me is that we hold ourselves to the highest standard and strive to give you the best that is offered with the knowledge that we have.
Performance – “The ex*****on or accomplishment of work”. We are accomplishing the work, your vehicle is executing our accomplishment.
We do not look at every vehicle the same we look you the customer and what it is that you need out of your vehicle for it to do what you are asking it to do. Maybe it needs to do work on the farm, maybe it needs to haul a trailer around the country, get you to work reliably every day or maybe it’s just a toy. All of these different instances offer us different challenges on how we approach the repair or maintenance or your vehicle.
So we have established that the name implies that we are going to give you the best parts and service for your vehicle to perform the way that you need it to.
Let’s look at this example a service truck that is only a few years old but has over 150k miles on it and after performing our initial inspection we find that it needs ball joints, a steering gear box, coolant flush and reservoir, a small brake repair and a hydraulic leak needs to be addressed.
From our experience I can tell you that there is X Y and Z aftermarket ball joints to choose from very similar to if this was a 2500 or 3500 but when we look at what this truck is asked to do which is fix everything on the farm that breaks wherever on the farm it breaks we know that X Y and Z are not an option from our experience they won’t last a year and they may be under warranty for a year from the manufacturer but that manufacturer is not going to honor their warranty. So how can I honor the install if they won’t stand behind their product?
The factory components lasted over 150k miles, they cost over 4 times what the aftermarket costs but in this instance cost saving doesn’t make sense because we know what the end result will be.
So with the knowledge that we have every part that went into this particular vehicle was factory and that is giving this customer the best chance to elongate the time before this repair needs to be done again. Let’s not forget that if you replace something it doesn’t mean it won’t fail again. In this instance it most certainly will with the way it’s being used but if It goes another 150,000+ miles then you are ahead instead of the downtime and expense of the aftermarket option that may last a quarter of that time.
That is as simple as I can put it. We will not always be the cheapest, I have never claimed to be. But in this job you can see it is the most economical repair and will be the cheaper option in the long run. All of that comes from the knowledge that we have and the standard that we hold ourselves to.
It has been a beautiful spring so far, get out and enjoy it!
