..GALE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING TO 7 PM CDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...North winds 25 to 35 knots with gusts up to 40 knots and seas 10 to 15 feet expected.
* WHERE...Baffin Bay and Upper Laguna Madre, Corpus Christi and Nueces Bays, Copano, Aransas, and Redfish Bays, San Antonio, Mesquite, and Espiritu Santo Bays, Coastal waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas out 20 NM, Coastal waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel out 20 NM, Waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas from 20 to 60 NM and Waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel from 20 to 60 NM.
* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 PM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Gale force winds and high seas will result in dangerous marine conditions which could result in capsized or damaged vessels.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
A Gale Warning has been issued for Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening. In response to a cold front, northerly winds are expected to increase to around 25-35 knots with gusts to 40 knots. Seas 8-13 feet possible, dangerous seas are anticipated. Mariners should avoid these conditions!
