Today we worked on a Chevrolet Avalanche. The owner had hired someone to replace the brake calipers and rotors, but that person used all the wrong parts. The danger is that it works fine for a while—until the brake pad slips out of place. Be very careful about who you hire; I can't say who it was, but don't let price be your only guide. If it’s cheap, there’s a reason: there are unscrupulous people out there just trying to make a quick buck without caring at all about your safety.

One of the most gratifying aspects of our work is being able to save a family's vacation—knowing that we were able to transform a stressful situation—such as a car breakdown far from home and in an unfamiliar city—into a safe, secure, and risk-free return journey.
