Sometimes you just gotta make it work! A quick and dirty fix on this unobtainium steering sector shaft. We had a tractor in need of a steering repair and the first image is what I found after a teardown of the steering gearbox- missing teeth causing a floppy steer wheel.

A fine specimen for tractor revival! But wait, you say, this isn’t the orange tractor we know you adore! This 1962 Oliver 550 Industrial is based on one of the greatest tractor platforms of all time- the Oliver 550. The design was so great, it hardly changed from its original inception and lived well into the White days as the 2-44. This one suffers from an unfortunate case of the no spark, so I’ll be posting updates as I work on this one!

It’s getting to be that time of year for tractor service- if you’re looking to have work done I do basic service to full restoration on most makes and models. 99% of work can be done onsite but I can transport to/from my shop if required. Will barter labor for implements and fence line tractors as well. As always, custom fabrication and welding repairs are always welcome!
