There are guides… and then there are the people who become family. ❤️

After two seasons with us, Ryan has become such an irreplaceable part of the King for a Day & AK Charters crew that having him gone honestly feels like we’re missing an arm around here. Things just aren’t quite the same without him.

Ryan, you’ve left your mark on this place—not just with us, but with the campers, clients, families, and guests who were lucky enough to spend a day on the river with you. Your patience, knowledge, humor, hard work, and the way you make people feel at home are a huge part of what makes this crazy little Alaska family what it is.

We miss you already. A LOT. 🥹

Camera man picked up and ready to go! We had the pleasure of having the Discovery Channel here filming the season finale of a new show float with us to the Copper! This was such an amazing experience and we are looking forward to having them again next year! Fun stuff in the works for 2027!
