DET and Recoreā„¢ make it our top priority to protect our intellectual property rights and our Recoreā„¢ Centers. Recoreā„¢ has been granted an additional U.S. Patent, No. 12,502,663. Recoreā„¢ has filed a second patent infringement lawsuit, Civil Action No. 3:26-cv-00916, against New Core, LLC, DPF Alternatives, LLC, DPF Source, LLC and DPF Source Holdings, LLC based upon our most recently issued Recoreā„¢ patent by the USPTO. DPF alternatives and New Core continue their infringement actions on our patented Recoreā„¢ products and processes, so we must keep up our efforts to protect Recoreā„¢ and our Recoreā„¢ Centers. A patent infringement suit, much like the previously-filed RICO lawsuit, carries substantial penalties such as monetary damages, actual damages (lost profits), reasonable royalties, enhanced damages (up to three times the damages to deter future violations), injunctions (to stop their immediate New Core sales and disrupt their business operations), our legal fees and the obvious reputational damages. We intend to seek all these damages against these companies.

DET and Recoreā„¢ are serious when it comes to protecting their intellectual property rights. Recoreā„¢ has sued DPF Alternatives, Pedro Junior Reyes, Chris Burrei, Robert Rangel, Jaime Rangel, Hayett Garcia, Kylun Ching, and Steven Sloan Lindemann under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act Civil Action No.: 3:25-cv-02718-B. RICO is a United States federal law that provides for extended criminal penalties and a civil cause of action for acts performed as part of an ongoing criminal organization. The penalties for RICO violations are severe, including up to 20 years in prison per count, substantial fines, and asset forfeiture. Additionally, RICO allows for civil lawsuits where victims can seek triple damages for their losses. Reyes and Burrei are alleged by DET to have conspired with others in the operation of a criminal enterprise which utilized extortion and wire fraud against its own DPF Alternatives centers who are also Recoreā„¢ centers to secure DET’s proprietary and patented Recoreā„¢ technology.
