As an Auto Glass Technician, you will learn to:
• Perform windshield rock chip repairs by using proper tools and techniques.
• Perform auto glass replacement using proper tools and techniques to ensure safety. Replace all moldings, clips, windshield wipers, and any other parts that were removed prior to glass replacement or repair.
• Complete paperwork and accept payment for competed jobs.
Working requirements
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• Requires standing, walking, using hands, climbing stairs, lifting, and moving up to 75 pounds.
• Considerable physical exertion required involving bending and stooping, pushing, twisting, lifting, and pulling.
• Exposure to moderate levels of heat, cold and moisture/wetness from working in and out of the shop.
• Use of chemicals such as adhesives, cleaners, and solvents.
Preferred skills:
• Auto glass or body shop experience is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and work ethic and the ability to operate a variety of handheld tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
