I am sad to see this news. Marvin was a friend and mentor that helped me along the way since 2012 when I started my business. He helped create Holley Motorsports and QFT Carbs which helped all carb builders in the end.

🛠 Tech Tip: Mechanical Fan Clearance Matters!

One of the most overlooked cooling adjustments on a race car is the distance between the mechanical fan and the radiator. Too close or too far can reduce airflow and lead to higher engine temperatures.

The sweet spot is 1”–1½” from the tips of the fan blades to the radiator core.

Why it matters:
✅ Maximizes airflow through the radiator
✅ Improves cooling efficiency
✅ Reduces heat soak and recirculation
✅ Helps maintain consistent engine temperatures during long green-flag runs

While you’re checking fan clearance, also inspect:
• Fan blades for damage or cracks
• Belt tension and pulley alignment
• Radiator for debris or bent fins
• Fan shroud for proper fitment

A few minutes in the shop can save your race day from overheating.
