If a shop tries to tell you their film blocks 98% of the suns solar energy, run, don't walk! the shop is grossly misleading you by using infrared blockage #'s in a very very small portion of the entire light spectrum (typically around 900nm) and passing it off as TSEAR (total solar energy rejected). In reality these films are only blocking around 60% of the suns total energy! (I've actually seen some that only block around 50% that the customer was under the impression it was blocking 98%) ask the shop trying to sell you the products to take a sample outside in the sun and use a BTU meter to gauge it! (thats whats actually used to measure heat) not an infrared meter on a heat lamp in their office. TSEAR is the true value of total heat rejection of the film, not IR rejection. Very big difference between the 2.

Turkeys for families in need, please share with anyone you know who is in need of a dinner this year.

It is almost Thanksgiving and there are many families out there that are unable to provide a dinner for their loved ones and it is time for us to give back!
If you know of a family in need of a Thanksgiving dinner this year please send them by The Jewelry Emporium Tuesday November 20 (the Tuesday before Thanksgiving) at 2:00 for a free frozen turkey. We will also be giving out canned goods that have been graciously donated by some amazing people. Please spread the word and help give back to our community that gives us all so much! Due to the high demand we can only supply one turkey per family and it is first come, first served.
When we started our Turkey Day about 10 years ago we had no idea how many lives would we affect. We look forward to this day all year long, hearing the words "Thank you!", seeing the smiles, getting the hugs, and knowing that there are people that are truly grateful to receive a meal has got to be one of the greatest things in the world!
