ROLLING RETESTS
TN Department Of Safety And Drivers License requires IID devices to prompt for a rolling retest at random intervals. State regulations allow for up to 6 minutes to perform the rolling retest. This gives you some time to pull over, put your vehicle in park and take a breath test that will only last a few seconds. Missing or failing a rolling retest is a VIOLATION. TAKE EVERY TEST that is requested.

True or False?

In TN, passengers in a car can be drinking alcohol as long as the driver isn't drinking.
TRUE! Actually it's a grey area. State of TN Law allows a passenger to have an open container, but some city ordinances may not allow it. If you allow your passengers to have open containers, be sure to check your local city ordinances.
