The Town of Rising Sun would like to extend a sincere thank you to two outstanding local businesses who have stepped up in a big way during this snow event — Banks Recycling & Towing ( https://www.facebook.com/BanksRecyclers ) and Stowe Landscaping & Excavation.

We still have a ways to go before we are complete, but I don't want these important folks to get lost in the process.

Working alongside our Public Works staff, these crews have been providing professional, efficient, and reliable service to help remove hundreds of tons of snow from our residential neighborhoods. Their equipment, experience, and willingness to work long hours have been critical in clearing large snow stockpiles and improving safety and accessibility throughout town.

This is a great example of local businesses supporting their community when it matters most. We truly appreciate their partnership and commitment to helping Rising Sun recover safely after a major winter storm.

Thank you for the hard work — and for being great neighbors.

In the joyful spirit of the holidays, we have decided to close early on December 23 and be closed for Christmas eve, Christmas day and New Years day so that our employees can enjoy the holidays with their loved ones! Please keep this in mind next week as we are getting closer to Christmas!! We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!
*These hours only affect our business hours for our scrap yards. This will not affect our 24 hour towing service!
