High Gear Transmissions is looking for an experienced technician. This person must be punctual, bring a positive attitude to work, and take pride in a job well done. We are a small shop, and focus on communication and teamwork to accomplish our goals daily. We are looking for someone who will put out reliable, repeatable work, and is willing to grow with others in our shop.
Currently we have room for:
-R&R technician. Duties include testdrive, scan, diagnose, remove and install transmissions, flush cooler systems, vehicle programming, occasional differential rebuilds, and various other tasks. This person will work hand-in-hand in with others in the shop, but should also be able to work independently.
-Transmission builder. Duties include some test-drives, scan, and able to assist in diagnosis of vehicles. Teardown and identification of trans failures, cleaning, ordering, and assembly of transmissions with attention updates and details. Mostly domestic automatic units, some foreign,, manuals and CVT. This person will work with hand-in-hand with others in the shop, but should be able to also work independently.
These are BOTH detail oriented positions.
Requirements, MUST have but not limited to:
-MI state cert Auto trans repair
-MI state cert manual trans/differential repair
-Minimum 5 years experience
-Basic tools and cart/box
-Valid drivers license
-Strong work ethic
