The World Karting Association (WKA) is the largest sanctioning body for kart racing in North America. Founded in 1971, the office is located directly behind Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. We have around 5,000 members with over 50,000 people having been WKA members since 1971.

Here is our TENTATIVE timeline for the Sprint events at Daytona Kartweek — December 28th through December 30th!

⚠️ CLASS CAPS WILL BE IN PLACE!
🏎️ Junior & Senior Classes: Capped at 44 Entries
🏎️ Cadet Classes: Capped at 36 Entries

📅 Entry Registration, Pit Space & RV Reservations will open in MID-OCTOBER.

More information, including the complete schedule and registration details, will be released as we get closer.

HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY, KARTING! 🎉

It all started in August 1956.

With some steel tubing, four wheels and a small two-stroke engine, Art Ingels built the first kart in Southern California — planting the seed for a sport that would spread around the world.

Along with early karting pioneer Duffy Livingstone, those first laps helped launch something much bigger than anyone could have imagined.

70 years later, we're still racing.
