While I have tried refrain from making politcal posts, here is a perfect example of our state lawmakers willfully and openly breaking the law. If our state lawmakers won't obey the most basic laws they legislate how can we expect to have a society of law and order?

While some Granite Staters approved of the injunction, others did not. State Sen. Keith Murphy, R-Manchester, posted online that there is "zero chance of me taking my car in for inspection as a result of this decision."

Vehicle inspections in New Hampshire will continue for now after a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction preventing a law that would halt inspections from taking effect.

New Hampshire has repealed mandatory annual safety inspections and emissions testing for most passenger vehicles, effective January 31, 2026. However, a recent court injunction means the program will continue for now, as a judge has temporarily blocked the end of the program. Until further notice or the end of the lawsuit, you must continue to get your vehicle inspected, as the law requires.
Key Details on the Ruling:

• Current Status: Due to a lawsuit, a federal judge has ordered New Hampshire to continue its vehicle inspection and emissions program, blocking the planned January 31, 2026 shutdown for now.
• What was supposed to happen: The state budget (House Bill 2) aimed to eliminate inspections for most passenger vehicles, making NH the 37th state to eliminate them.
• Impact on 2025: If your car is due for inspection in 2025, you must get it done during your birthday month.
• Commercial Vehicles: Commercial vehicles are not part of this change and will still require annual inspections due to federal regulations (49 CFR 396.17).
• Roadside Safety: Even if inspections are eventually repealed, you are responsible for maintaining your vehicle in safe working order, and law enforcement can still ticket for unsafe equipment.

Here are today's two examples of why you should have your car evaluated at least every year. NH's government leaders have voted to eliminate a state mandated annual inspection. We will continue to offer our customers an annual vehicle evaluation service just like going to the doctor for an annual check up.

One is a wheel that is cracked the other is a rear frame that has rusted apart holding the rear suspension.

A good story about our local high school trades program. Our state and local leaders are coming up short on funding these programs which are vital to getting our youth into the trades. It's a shame they're going to sacrfice a great experience for the kids because of money.
