AutoBarn Classic Cars & Independent Hagerty Agent Paul Kaperonis Present Cars & Conversation: The GTD Adventures “Been There, Done That With My GTD” as told by Vinny Giglio.

You are cordially invited to join us on Thursday July 30th, 2026, from 7:00 to 9:00pm to hear the stories of how Vinny Giglio drove his brand-new Mustang GTD across the country and is now the first GTD customer to have driven his GTD 10,000 miles.

The GTD is not just any Ford Mustang, you must apply for the right to own one then be selected to take ownership. Most of them have ended up in collections and are not driven but Vinny likes to live so he has been enjoying his GTD since the day it was delivered.

By Vinny’s side for this trip was Miller Coakley who documented the trip along the way with photos and videos. Miller will also be here to talk about what took place during the adventures.

So here is your chance to not only see the GTD in person but learn firsthand how driving this super muscle car from coast to coast was the opportunity of a lifetime.

Great turnout this morning for Cars and Coffee at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

If you have not attended this event then you need to. Event takes place the third Saturday of every month and the amount of cars that show up is incredible.

My wife and I recently drove from Raleigh to Concord to see a classic car at a different, but very large, classic car dealership. The car’s condition at the other dealership was not what it appeared to be in the ad, so we chose to look elsewhere. We went to a second large classic car dealership and the inventory was small and one of the car's bodywork and paint were concerning. So we inquired on my iPhone map and found Auto Barn nearby. The atmosphere was welcoming as we browsed the cars. We saw and purchased the 1940 Ford 2-door sedan. The salesman (Jason) and I looked over the car and discussed what the issues were. The price was agreed upon, and we drove it home. I have looked over the car with a fine-tooth comb. It was a great deal on a great car. Everyone at Auto Barn was great to work with! I will definitely recommend this dealership and will shop there again if the opportunity presents itself. Thanks again, Jason!
