📢 Major Update on North Carolina HB 356: The NCOIL Glass Act Language Has Been Removed
💪 This is a major win for North Carolina auto glass shops and proof that when the industry speaks up, lawmakers listen.
👉 The IGA has been working directly in North Carolina to oppose the harmful Motor Vehicle Glass Act language that would have restricted shops, limited consumer choice, and created unnecessary barriers for independent auto glass businesses. Thanks to the support of the industry, that language has now been removed from the latest version of the bill.
⚠️ But this fight is not over. The IGA will continue working in North Carolina to protect shops and consumers, including through the introduction of the IGA Auto Glass Fairness Act, just as we have introduced in South Carolina. Our goal is simple: fair rules, real consumer choice, proper protections for independent shops, and accountability in the auto glass claims process.
