Reasons to purchase a car:
1. You may see it as status symbol. If the car you drive also plays a role in your image, you can’t be perceived as successful and drive an old bucket. A new car says, I work/worked hard to put myself in a position to be able to afford and maintain a new vehicle. You deserve it! There’s nothing wrong with that.
2. Your car is giving you mechanical issues. It’s a tool to get you from “point A to point B”. You need something reliable, good on gas, inexpensive maintenance. You have other things to do with your money, whether it’s kids to put through school, or you’d rather travel. Cars are expensive so you want to pay it off as soon as possible and be car payment free.
3. Your car just got wrecked. Whether your insurance fixes the car or not, it will never run the same. It will also be more prone to mechanical malfunction. You need a new car.
4. Your child has places to go. Hopefully regardless of your budget, you want to get them a SAFE and reliable car. Cars are so expensive, the last thing you want to do is go cheap on a car and it not last even a year. You also don’t want to have to deal with mechanical issues every time you turn around. Whatever car you buy, you want it to be a good one.
5. You need more space or towing capacity. Whether your family is getting bigger or you need to take the camper out to the lake, you need that vehicle for a specific reason. You’ll be looking at trucks, SUV’s, and mini vans.
6. It’s time you got your dream car! You deserve that car you wanted, if you put yourself in a position to get it.
