COLD FRONT CHECK 🚨 Your tire pressure can drop about 1 PSI for every 10°F the temperature falls. As October cools down, that pressure quietly disappears: hurting fuel economy, handling, and tread life.

A warning light check is a good start, but don’t wait for the light. The easy part to get wrong is setting pressure by guesswork or using the number on the tire sidewall instead of your vehicle’s recommended PSI. Check tires cold and inflate them to the door-jamb specification.

It’s a quick check, but it matters. Tire pressure inspection and proper inflation are part of the routine preventive maintenance on our mobile service list, so we can handle it right in your driveway. 🫡

COLD WEATHER CHECKLIST: DON’T LET THE FIRST CHILLY MORNING CATCH YOUR CAR OFF GUARD 🚨

As temperatures drop, fluids get thicker and rubber components work harder. Coolant, belts, and hoses are some of the first parts to reveal a problem, and the check can be done right in your driveway.

Before the season gets colder:
• Check coolant levels only when the engine is completely cool. Use the correct coolant for your vehicle.
• Look for cracked, swollen, soft, or leaking hoses.
• Inspect belts for fraying, glazing, or visible cracks.
• Test the battery, especially if it’s more than a few years old.
• Look around the cooling system for leaks or dried coolant residue.

Never open a hot radiator cap. When in doubt, get it checked before a small issue turns into a tow, an overheated engine, or a missed trip.

Here At Retroe’Z Another Happy Client 2014 Honda Accord by replacing the valve cover gasket, bringing the engine sealing system back to original manufactured specifications‼️

The valve cover gasket is a critical seal that prevents oil from leaking out of the top of the engine. Over time, heat, age, and normal wear cause it to harden, crack, or compress, leading to oil seepage that can coat the engine bay, drip onto hot components, create burning smells, and eventually contribute to low oil levels or further engine issues.

By installing a quality replacement and properly resealing the valve cover, we eliminate those leaks, keep the engine compartment cleaner, maintain proper oil containment and pressure, and protect surrounding components from oil contamination.
