Terry & Randy helped him run it for years before they took the business over. Today the building has grown and so has the inventory. We have the best selection of Yamamoto Senko's in the area. People drive for miles to shop our display of various Rapala brand lures. Our goal is to specialize in fishing, focusing on our proximity to the Grand and Rogue Rivers. Recently we became Raven dealers. Thus rounding out the steelhead and salmon division of the store.

Nephew Ted, Steve Busgard & Randy went to Ludington to troll for salmon. They saw 100 boats & only 1 land a fish. Unfortunately that 1 was not our guys. Oh well nothing ventured nothing gained. On the up side, I stayed home & canned a bushel of peaches. My back is paying for it too! Our feathery egg donating friends, that are fenced in our yard loved the skins. The only thing wasted was the pits. Now I have to decide if I want to can another bushel this week.

Randy & I did not go into the shop today, but we did work. 27 quarts of pickled beets takes all day. I am finally done & hearing that satisfying pop sound of the jars sealing. We were hoping to catch salmon while we in on Drummond island, because we were going to can several batches. The salmon must have known & didn't bite. Poor Randy is out getting more minnows. It's a long day for not being at the shop. See ya tomorrow!
