Business is booming, and MotorCity Speed is seeking well-qualified, experienced, automotive technicians to join our team.
Located in Commerce Township Michigan, MotorCity Speed is a high-performance automotive facility located approximately thirty miles northwest of Detroit and is also home to Billy Briggs Racing Engines.
MotorCity Speed specializes in custom automotive performance upgrades and combinations to improve horsepower, torque, and efficiency for domestic vehicles - both modern and classic.
We are a one-stop shop for your classic muscle car offering complete maintenance services, EFI conversions, chassis dyno tuning, engine upgrades, complete custom engines, suspensions, and much more.
Late model vehicle services offered include - forced induction system installation, bolt-on engine upgrades, internal engine performance upgrades, complete custom engines, aftermarket exhaust, fuel system upgrades, tuning services on our Mustang MD-1100 chassis dyno, and more.
We are looking for upbeat, well-qualified, highly motivated individuals that have a passion for classic and late model muscle cars and trucks. Some of the general skills required for these positions include:
• At least 5 years experience working with domestic classic and modern performance vehicles.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Good mechanical skills including experience in diagnostics and problem-solving.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle mechanics, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, fuel systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
• Understanding performance parts combinations and how they affect a particular vehicle.
• Rewiring, engine and transmission removal and installation, performance engine upgrades, EFI conversions, aftermarket AC systems, and more.
• You will be responsible for ensuring functionality after repairs.
• Verify updated systems are safe and working correctly.
• Build and assemble components according to requirements.
• Conduct repairs to achieve maximum safety and reliability.
• A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
• Very good communication skills.
• Very good physical strength and stamina.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, some weekends if necessary.
• You must have your own tools and a valid driver’s license.
