The Colorado Gas Cap scam.

This happened to me today. I’ve heard of the Aircare Colorado gas cap scam before, so I always put a brand new cap on before going to the emissions, which I did 5 days ago. My jeep , failed emissions, but at least the gas cap passed.

Fast forward to today, I go back for my free retest after installing a new Catalytic Converter. The jeep had no problem passing the smog test this time but they failed my brand new cap so I went right around the building and got back in line for a retest.

On the retest guess what? The cap passed along with the rest of the emissions. Great; except now they charge me another 25 dollars since i already used my retest 15 min ago, even though I did absolutely nothing but get back in line.

I am not the first person to be suspicious of this. They got me for a 25 dollar retest when it should have been free. Ive looked online for a state agency to complain to, but have had no luck finding anything,
