For today's Message from Leadership, we hear from Chris Cotton, VP of Maintenance.
"In fleet maintenance, safety and quality are directly connected.
Most serious incidents are not caused by a lack of knowledge, they often come from rushing, complacency, distractions, or small shortcuts that compound over time.
That’s why operational discipline matters:
• Following SOPs
• Performing proper QC
• Using the right tools
• Slowing down and paying attention
• Executing repairs correctly the first time
At TEN, we continue focusing on building a culture where safety, accountability, and quality are part of every repair and every interaction. Through technician training, leadership development, standardized processes, and reinforcing the importance of doing the job right the first time, we are working to create an environment where our teams feel empowered to speak up, identify hazards, and take pride in their work.
We are also continuing to invest heavily in the future of our maintenance operations through the development of an advanced training center designed to support technician growth, hands-on learning, and leadership development across our organization. In addition, we are expanding our mobile maintenance capabilities with the addition of 50 new mobile service trucks to our existing fleet of 100, allowing us to better support customers while improving response times, uptime, and service consistency across North America.
At the end of the day, the safety of the motoring public, our customers, and our employees will always remain our highest priority."
