This morning we were proud to be the Silver -Sponsor of True North Columbia's Men as Allies Breakfast Fundraiser. We proudly and firmly stand by True north, their mission and their vision and encourage everyone in our community to do the same ❤️
Men as Allies is True North’s campaign to involve men in preventing violence and advocating for victims. Because although intimate partner violence and sexual violence are still largely crimes perpetrated by men, not all men abuse. In fact, only 1 in 12 men will become an abuser in his lifetime. However, it is up to other men to change the social discourse by becoming influential bystanders…bystanders who CAN hold other men accountable for their actions. This means that women do not have to shoulder the community’s responsibility to end violence alone…they have Men As Allies.
