Engine misfire? It’s not always an ignition issue.

While many misfires are caused by spark plugs or ignition components, this one was different. A mechanical failure in the engine required removing the cylinder head and repairing a damaged valve.

It’s a more involved repair, but it shows why accurate diagnosis matters.

If your vehicle is misfiring or running rough, don’t assume—get it checked.

Think rodents don’t get into your car? Think again.

They can chew through wires and vacuum lines under the hood, causing serious and expensive damage. This is one of the worst cases we’ve seen.

The good news is there are simple ways to help keep them out, like using peppermint oil or rodent repellent sprays.

Don’t wait until it becomes a bigger problem.

Join us for a Community Letter Writing Event for Our Schools hosted by the CHPS School Board Legislative Action Committee today, May 6th, at Columbia Heights High School in the Media Center.

The Columbia Heights School District—like many districts across Minnesota—is facing a significant budget shortfall.

Due to changes in how state funding is calculated (compensatory funding), our district could lose millions of dollars. This could mean the loss of staff positions and cuts to important programs that support our students.

Join us to make your voice heard!
📍 Location: Columbia Heights High School Media Center
📅 Date: Wednesday, May 6
⏰ Time: Drop in anytime between 5:00–7:00 PM

Together, we can send a clear message:
We value public education, and our students deserve strong, well-funded schools.

All are welcome: students, staff, parents, and community members. Kids are also welcome and a snack will be provided.
